Introducing Templates: Ready-Made Rules for Real-World Logic
Skip the blank page. Our new templates give you ready-to-use rules and workflows, so you can focus on fine-tuning logic instead of starting from scratch. Whether you're new or advanced, there's something here for you.

A Smarter Starting Point for Rule Building
We’re excited to introduce a brand-new feature designed to speed up your work and unlock the full potential of your rule-based logic: Templates.
Templates are ready-made rule examples and complete rule sets that you can drop into your workspace and start using immediately. They’re built to save time, offer inspiration, and help you standardize logic patterns across your organization.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to scale up with clean, reusable architecture—templates make it easier to build smarter from the start.
What Are Templates?
Templates are pre-built rules and rule sets that help you jumpstart your work with ready-made logic. Instead of starting from scratch, you can choose from a growing library of examples built around real-world scenarios, best practices, and common patterns. Templates make it easier to explore new rule types, speed up implementation, and build with confidence—whether you're creating a single decision rule or orchestrating a full workflow.
They’re especially useful for:
- Exploring the capabilities of different rule types
- Adopting best practices and proven patterns
- Accelerating setup for common business processes
- Solving tricky logic or architectural challenges with ease
While templates are designed to be highly useful out of the box, they aren’t one-size-fits-all. Every organization has its own data, processes, and decision requirements. That’s why we encourage you to treat templates as flexible foundations—a great starting point that you can adjust and expand to perfectly suit your specific use case. By customizing templates, you get the best of both worlds: a faster path to implementation, and logic that’s fully tailored to your needs.

Industry Examples
Industry templates are built around real-world scenarios we encounter in everyday business operations. These aren’t just sample rules—they reflect the kind of logic businesses apply daily to make decisions, automate processes, and ensure consistency.
You’ll find templates that handle customer evaluations, approval conditions, discounting strategies, payment rules, shipping logic, and more. They’re especially helpful for teams looking to move away from manual logic or scattered spreadsheets toward structured, reusable automation.
Some templates are simple single-rule examples, while others are full rule sets orchestrated through Workflows that can connect multiple rule types. Any rule that's used as part of the flow is bundled with the set, so you can see and reuse the complete logic.
Industry templates are currently available for sectors like:
- Finance – credit scoring, loan approval
- E-commerce & Retail – discount rules, shipping logic
- Logistics – delivery milestones
- Insurance – travel insurance pricing, form inputs validation
- Travel – flight ticket pricing

They’re ready to be used as-is or tailored to your exact needs—helping you launch faster with decision logic that mirrors the real world.
Rule Examples
This section showcases the full range of available rule types, with templates designed to demonstrate each one in isolation.
You'll find examples of:
- Decision Table
- Scripting Rule
- Decision Tree
- Workflow
Each example highlights the core logic format, expected input/output behavior, and potential use cases—perfect for getting familiar with the tools or comparing rule types in context.
Useful Tricks
The Useful Tricks section is like your personal toolkit of clever, reusable rules designed to solve common architectural and logic challenges. These templates aren’t tied to any specific industry—they’re built to address the kinds of technical and structural problems that pop up across all types of decision-making systems.
Some examples include:
- A scripting rule to check if an array is sorted
- A fallback rule that ensures a default value is always returned
- A data validation and enrichment workflow
Think of this section as a growing library of logic snippets—ready to drop into your space whenever you need a smart shortcut or a solid foundation for more advanced configurations. These templates are especially helpful for developers and architects who want to build efficiently without reinventing standard logic structures each time.
Blank Rules
The Blank Rules section is designed for those who want to start with a completely clean slate. It includes a basic, pre-set structure for each available rule type—Decision Table, Scripting Rule, Decision Tree, Rule Flow, and Workflow—without any prefilled logic or conditions.
Each blank template contains only the essential components needed to create a valid rule, so you don’t have to worry about removing placeholder content or adapting someone else’s logic. It's the fastest way to begin building a rule entirely on your own terms.
This section is ideal if:
- You already know what you want to build
- You want full creative control without any pre-applied structure
- You need a fresh starting point that ensures the rule is technically valid but logically empty

How to Use Templates
Getting started is easy. When creating a new rule from the template, simply click the new rule card at the top of the rule list and the new window with available templates shows. You’ll be able to browse the available categories, preview the logic, and choose the template that fits your needs. Once selected a new rule or rule set is added to your workspace.
From there, you can tweak and expand it however you like—just as if you’d built it from scratch.

Your Turn to Explore /Accelerate Your Next Rule with Templates
Templates are here to make your rule-building experience faster, smarter, and more approachable—whether you're solving industry-specific challenges, exploring what each rule type can do, or fine-tuning the structure of your logic. With a growing library of examples and practical patterns, there's something useful for every skill level and use case. The best way to understand their value is to try them out for yourself—explore, customize, and see how much time and effort they can save. We’re excited to see what you’ll build with them!
