CI/CD Pipelines
Rule changes deserve the same release discipline as application code. DecisionRules CI/CD Pipelines connect your Spaces to existing DevOps workflows, so business and IT teams can promote rules from development to production through a repeatable process: export the source Space, compare it with the target, review the changes, approve the deployment, save a backup, and import the release.
Repeatable Deployments
Move business rules through the same defined steps every time. Automated exports and imports replace manual recreation, helping development, testing, and production environments stay aligned.
Review Before Release
Compare the source and destination Spaces before deployment and place an approval gate in front of production. Teams can see what is changing and stop an unexpected release before the target environment is updated.
Recoverable Changes
Before Production is updated, the pipeline saves its current state as a backup file. If the new release causes a problem, a recovery pipeline can import that file and return the Space to its previous working state. Backups can be stored in Git, pipeline artifacts, or cloud storage.
Promote Rules Across Environments
DecisionRules Pipeline Tools export a source Space into a portable JSON artifact and deploy it to a selected destination. The destination can be another Space in the same environment or a Space in a separate cloud, regional, private, or on-premise environment.
- Export a source Space into a portable JSON artifact
- Deploy to another Space or a separate environment
- Keep development, testing, and production aligned
Back Up Production Before Every Release
A controlled deployment should include a way back. The documented DecisionRules pipeline examples export the destination before it is changed and store the snapshot as a release artifact. A recovery pipeline can later select that snapshot and restore the Space to its earlier state.
- Create a backup before the destination changes
- Store release snapshots as protected artifacts
- Use a recovery pipeline to restore a known-good state
